BUSY weekend of celebrations and events

We had a very busy but mostly fun weekend!  During the day on friday we watched Macy and the girls LOVE her - probably a little too much!  Friday night we hosted our annual Valentine's dinner with 4 other couples.  We had a blast!  Good food, a few drinks, cards and Wii - all with great friends!  We always have a nice time together.

Saturday we spent most of the day getting ready for the next two events.  The first one being my family coming over for my nieces birthday party. We had a pizza party, opened gifts and had an ice cream treat.  All of the cousins got to play and the adults again got to enjoy some good conversation, food, drinks and cards.

Sunday we had Ethan's First Communion.  It was a beautiful day and he did a great job!  I can't believe how old he is getting.  It seems like just yesterday he was a chubby little baby!  My family and some of Mike's family were there for the mass and then came to our house for lunch afterwards.

Sunday night we attend the wake of one of my uncles.  It was a sad wake even though he was suffering from cancer and I know he is in a better place.  He was one of my Dad's best friends and the husband to one of my Mom's best friends.  It is hard to see people you love lose someone they love so much.  I am pretty close to my cousins too who lost their Dad and their Mom who lost her husband.  It was sad to see all of them at such young ages have to go through that.  My thoughts and prayers are and always will be with them!

This week is busy busy again!  We had the funeral on Monday and a friend of mine watched the girls, which helped so much.  I was able to be with my family and my cousins to reminisce about all the good memories - and there were so many!  Yesterday I watched my friend's two boys and they were angels!  The girls love to have playmates all day.  Ethan's spring hockey league starts tonight, tomorrow night I have a meeting, friday night we have a wedding reception..... Oh it never ends.  It is good though - a good busy I guess.
