We haven't been up to much, just enjoying this beautiful end of winter/start of spring weather. The girls and I have been on a few walks during the day but neither one of them likes sitting in the stroller for very long so I am going to have to try and get creative so that they can stay in at least for 30 to 40 mins so I can get a good power walk in while pushing them.
I had my annual scrapbook weekend a few weekends back and had a wonderful time away with my girlfriends. I completed over 50 pages and I am now caught up to Sept 09 in Izzie's book and I am on August '09 in Avery, Ethan and Olivia's books so that made me happy. Our family book I am years behind but once I get the kids a little more caught up, I will go back to that one and work on it more. It is so fun to work on their books and see how much they have grown and changed!
This past weekend we relaxed at home, Mike went shed antler hunting and found a few, Ethan had his hockey banquet and we got together with some family on saturday night. The girls and I also baked and had SPA time as Mike and Ethan went to his First Communion retreat. It was a great weekend! This weekend we have a lot going on - Friday night we can finally host the valentine's party that we were supposed to have when we all were sick, saturday some of my family is coming over for my nieces birthday party and then on Sunday is Ethan's First Communion! He has been preparing for months and is ready! We will have both sides of the family coming over Sunday after Mass to celebrate the day with us.
The kids are all doing well. Izzie has been talking up a storm lately, I think all of sudden something just clicked and now she says so much. I was kind of worried that she wasn't talking that much but just in the last week I think her vocabulary doubled! I did notice that whenever we were reading books or doing flashcards, Olivia was right there next to her and she would say everything so Izzie didn't need to talk. Now I take Izzie aside and do that stuff with her one on one and I have really noticed a difference already.
Here are some random pictures. Have a great week!
