The Van Becks: Summertime YAY!!

It is finally feeling like summer... almost a little too warm now. We have been trying to keep cool as much as we can with the sprinkler, little pool and visiting our friends the Dusha's. They have a great pool and are so nice to invite us over to use it.

I have to play catch up again - we have been very busy!! Since our last post we celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary, Izzie turned 11 months old, we helped and went out for Munichfest, had a few play dates, started swimming lessons and spent a WONDERFUL weekend away without the kids this past weekend.

We have close friends that live near lake minnetonka and have a boat. We planned a saturday a while back that it worked for both of us. We first planned to go down sat morning and stay until sunday but we actually went down Friday night and went to a Twins game with other close friends (Mike got some tickets from work last minute), play cards with them and stayed at their house. Then the next morning we headed out for the lake and we couldn't have asked for a better day - 85 and sunny all day! We enjoyed the day on the lake went out for dinner and some drinks at Fletchers at night. It was a great weekend!

The kids are doing great - we have Pee Wee little league, T-ball, gymnastics and swimming lessons going on now for the big kids so that makes sunday through wed nights very busy but it gives them something to look forward to. Izzie is still very busy - standing up on everything, walking around furniture and eating all sorts of new foods. Since she has been playing with her nighttime bottle for the last few nights we just decided to take that one away too - so we are now BOTTLE free!!! She did really well without it so that has been nice.

This weekend we have Mike's brothers wedding and we are really looking forward to that. Avery, Mike and Olivia are all in the wedding. Mike's sister, Sister Christina, is also going to be home so it will be great to see her as we only get the privilege once a year.
