The past few weeks have been pretty busy! The weekend of the 25 - 27th we went up to Mille Lacs to spend some time on the Lake with Deb and Tom. The boys fished and the girls went to Kim's 30th Birthday party in Brainerd since we were to close anyway. On Monday, July 28th we took the 2 older kids to their first Twins game against the Chicago White Sox and it was a really great game, so we all had a nice time. Auntie Debba watched the 2 younger girls for us - thanks Auntie Debba!
Izabel had her 2 week appt on the 30th and she is doing well. She was 8 pounds and 20 inches long. She is still eating and sleeping well and wakes up once a night but lately she has been kind of restless after she eats so she doesn't fall asleep right away after she eats :-(
Mike also went back to work on the 30th! It has been VERY busy for me - a little more busy than I expected but we are managing. I could tell you that I am not exhausted most days but I would be lying! I know it will get easier once school is back in session and we are all on a more routine schedule. It will also help when Izabel goes to sleep the same time as the older kids. Then I will get some of that night time back to catch up on things.
This past weekend we attending Albany Heritage days. We took the kids up town to do some kids games during the day and then attended the parade, fireworks and beer gardens at night. A lot of my family was home for the festivies so we all had a great time!
I have also been canning a lot of our garden vegatables with my Mom so that has been taking up a lot of time, but we have so much good food that I hate to waste it. Yesterday I cleaned and cut of green beans for 4 hours to get them ready to bring to my Mom's!! Mike has been busy working on getting a sand point put in our backyard so we can use that with our sprinklers to keep the lawn looking nice. So far everything is looking good with it and it should work!
The kids are all doing great - Ethan and Avery have been very good with helping me out and they have been playing a lot by themselves and with the neighbors which is nice. Olivia is starting to talk more and really listen when we ask her to do something or get something, so it has been fun to watch her learn. She is very gentle with Izabel and often times gets her baby and feeds her and holds her when I am holding or feeding Izabel.
Oh and I cut my hair off too! I have a picture of my new do posted below as well as some other recent pictures.
