Enjoying Family Time

Since we had Izabel, Mike has been off. He goes back to work next wednesday the 30th. The 2 weeks of paternity leave makes it very nice for us at home! Mike's sister has also been home the past week so we had quite a few family gatherings on his side of the family as she only comes home once a year.

We have also been busy doing other fun stuff as a family; going to the beach, going to a polka mass and parade, dentist appts(although these weren't really "fun"), a baseball game on sunday night for Mike's nephews, lunches and dinners on the deck, etc. It has been a great week and 1/2 with our new addition.

Izabel is doing great! She is eating very well and only wakes up once at night around 3:00, so we really have no complaints. So far we have a very good baby! The kids still play and talk to her but definitely not as much as they did the first few days. I guess the newness wore off a little sooner than I thought it would. Olivia does surprisingly well with her and is very gentle so I hope that continues.

This weekend we are going with Deb and Tom to their fish house on Mille Lacs for some fun in the sun and hopefully some good fishing. We are all staying overnight in the fish house, so that ought to be interesting. The fish house is about as big as a small cabin though so I think we should be ok. I also have a 30th birthday party and a baby shower for 2 different close high school friends so it will be nice to see everyone and catch up.
