Since my last post we had a play date at Kristin's house, attended a surprise 30th birthday party for our friend Neil, went to a few baseball games, took Ethan to the dentist, visited Mom's old work, picked up a few of my nieces to stay with me last week, organized for a garage sale that I had at our house this past weekend, attended another birthday party last friday, put on a garage sale on friday and saturday and then started the packing for our family vacation this week. And during all of that our little baby Izabel turned 1 month old :-(
So needless to say it has been crazy here! I know we mostly do it to ourselves but it has been even more busy than usual it seems.
We are looking forward to our vacation this week! The kids always have a great time at the lake and the pool and the adults get plenty of relaxing, card playing and of course time to catch up on magazines :-)
Ethan turns 7 this week, so we will be celebrating his birthday at the cabin. This past weekend he took a road trip with Bob, G'ma Sally and Papa Al to SD to pick up Paige and to go to the Black Hills, etc. He comes home tonight. He has been having a great time but it is weird not having him around.
Soon it will be time for school and that has added to my stress. I haven't done any school shopping yet! I know, I know I am at home all day, how can I not find time to go and get their stuff. But, believe me, one day in our household and you will see why it would be impossible to make a successful trip to the local target or Wal-mart with all 4 kids. And at night I just want to catch up from the days wreckage and relax. When we get back from vacation I will need to get that done as we have open house soon.
