We Tri'd

After our first Triathlon in Paynesville last year, we decided we are going to try to do one a year.  This year we entered the Maple Grove Dare to Tri.  It was a much bigger event but still an amazing experience.  The weather was PERFECT!  Sunny, mid 70's and no wind.  Seven of us signed up together and it was so nice to have people there cheering you on and to cheer others on.  When the course gets tough, it is also nice to know that others on your "team" are probably going through the same thoughts and struggles and you can all get through it together.  Overall my race went well - I took 6 mins off my time from last year.  They didn't have my splits for some reason, so I was a little bummed that I couldn't see what my times were for the bike and run.  They did have my swimming time and I took 2 mins off that, so that made me happy!

Can't wait for the challenge next year!
