Life according to a 2 1/2 year old

Izzie is talking in stories lately and she goes on and on about everything.  It is so funny to see how she sees life at her age.  We literally just sit and ask her things and just listen to what she says, which, most of the time, makes us laugh out loud!  She is such a card and we love her spunky personality!

Mom: "Izzie, where is your baby?"
Izzie: "She is sleeping in the pack n play because she missed me so much and because she loves me so much and then she has to go to work and then she says gobble gobble four times."
Mom:"Babies don't say gobble gobble."
Izzie:"Yeah she does, she says that.  She goes to work because she say gobble gobble four times because she go nigh night in the back in play because she love me so much and she misses me."
Mom:"Ok."

Mom:"Where is Daddy?"
Izzie:"Daddy at work. He is naughty because he has to go to work. When I get bigger I go to work and I shot a big buck and I go to hockey too, when I get bigger."

She is really using AND and BECAUSE a lot and just stringing so many ideas together.  She loves it when we just sit and listen to her and she goes on and on and on.  Most of the time it has something to do with someone saying gobble gobble four times, I am not sure where that came from, but it sure is cute!

Please excuse the nakedness of Izzie, but this is her new favorite thing to do.  She climbs up the drawer handles to get to the top of the counter so she can "help."  One time I caught her on top with my coffee cup trying to get the coffee pot out and fill up my cup!  Another time she was on top with a scissors ready to start cutting on something and yet another time she was going to turn the oven on :-)  We often have popcorn at night and before we got a new popcorn maker Mike was making it the ole fashion way on the stove.  She would get out the seeds climb up and set it next to the stove and say "Ready for popcorn!"  You have to laugh at her determination.  I know it will do her well some day.
