Hockey and some good family bonding

Last weekend was a weekend of family, friends and hockey.  Mike went with my Dad, brother and brother-in-laws fishing all weekend on Mille Lacs Lake. And us girls spent the weekend at my sister's house with the kids.  We figured we would make it into a girls weekend too.  Ethan had hockey on Saturday, so I was gone watching him most of that day.  I left the girls with my sisters and Mom, which was really nice!  It was great to actually watch him play and not have to run after anyone.  They had more fun staying back too and playing with their cousins.  Although, I guess Izzie just pouted around all day with sad, puppy eyes and wouldn't say a word to anyone :-(  She missed her Mommy!

The boys came back on Sunday and then we headed to my good friend Kristin's house for a playdate/sleepover. And on Monday we went with them to the Maple Grove community center to spend the day doing something fun together since Mike and the kids were all off from work and school.  We had a great weekend but boy where we all TIRED!!  I think we were all in bed by 8:00 on Monday night.

The kids' school fundraiser is coming up this weekend so I have been busy putting in a lot of volunteer time for that.  This is the week to get it all in, so I pray that it all goes well and the printing of all the programs, etc.  turn out well!

Other than hockey and volunteering for school and hockey, we have been trying to just keep up and enjoy life.  I had a TERRIBLE cold this week and unfortunatly passed it on to Olivia, but so far we are all managing and hoping it passes quickly.

Laney asked Izzie to sleep with her in her new "Big Girl" bed - it was too cute for words!
Olivia was just as excited to sleep on Laney's floor of her room.

The kids had a blast and Izzie can officially swim all by herself with her lifejacket on - scary! But, it will make it easier this summer if I take them swimming all by myself.
