Our hometown Heritage Days were this past weekend and all of my sisters and my brother were home. Ethan and I had planned to do the 5K and we recruited most of my family to do it with us. We had matching socks and everything! It was so much fun. Ethan did AMAZING! He ran most of the time and we finished around 28:40 (not exact chip timing). We only had to stop and walk a few times but most of the time he was running his heart out. I am so proud of him. It is so much fun to share the love of exercising and running with him. I hope this is just the first of many 5Ks we do together. Avery ran the 1K too and hopefully in a few years she will be ready to join Ethan and I in the 5K.

We can do it!!!
Here he is literally beating me in the last 100 yards when I told him to sprint :-)
Allen, Maria and Lauren pushing it to the end.
Michelle and Morgan finishing strong with some encouragement from Allen
The Keefe's running out the last 100 yards.
Ethan and I after the race.
Avery and I during the 1K
There were also games during the day and a parade and music at night. The kids loved it all!
Here is a picture of Avery and Olivia's face paint from Mike's hometown days, which was also this past weekend. Lots of parades, candy, family and fun!
Yay! Congrats on the 5K! LOVE those socks!! :)
