The picture above is of a recent GNO with my high school girlfriends. Twelve of us made it to our annual GNO this year and we were missing 4. We have been out of high school 12+ years now and we still all keep in contact. Of course some are closer than others, but that is the best thing about this group of girls, we are completely ok with it and respect it. I never feel judged, uncomfortable, nervous or jealous when I am around these girls. We all know each other well and can just be ourselves, and I love that! When we see each other, we pick up right where we left off.
I love our amazing friendships and I hope we are still doing this when we are all 60 and growing old together!
It is so important to have people in your life that you can share your thoughts, dreams, joys and frustrations with. And who better to do that with than your best gal pals!
What a great picture! Love that you get together on a yearly basis. An awesome thing to do. I agree with you that it is so important. Living so far from where I grew up, it is harder to get together with my high school gals that I miss. Hopefully for our 30th b-days this year we can pull something off. Good for you for keeping in touch! I know it is not easy with limited time ;-)
