It's all fun and games......

.....until someone has to get 4 stiches in their forehead :-( We had our first trip to the ER this weekend! After hours of fort fun in the living room, it ended with a BANG (literally) when Avery came flying out of the pile of cushions and hit her head on the coffee table. She had a pretty nice gash on her forehead and had to get 4 stiches!! She did well through it all and the doctor did a great job putting her all back together.

Since it has been a bit chilly outside, the kids have been playing in the house and being very creative with Forts, jumping on the cushions, playing Star Wars, etc. They (E and A) have been playing so well together, it has been great to see them act more as friends and not just fighting siblings.

Other than the trip to the ER, we had a great weekend. My mom surprised us with watching the kids on friday night so Mike and I could go on a date. It was so nice of her, and we had a great time out by ourselves. Saturday we hung out at home; I scrapbooked and Mike and the kids watched one of the Star Wars movies. We ended the night with having some close friends over for dinner. Yesterday we went to watch my niece play JO volleyball and we also stopped to visit some other close friends that have a little boy almost Olivia's age. They live out in the country and have 2 dogs, so the kids were in heaven. They kept asking if we could take our house and move it right next to theirs so we could be in the country and have dogs too :-)

Mike is off to Seattle for the week for work. Hopefully the week doesn't get too long for me! We will have to find other things to do besides jumping on cushions and building forts for a while (at least until the stiches are healed).
