Dance, Standing, New car seat and Family time

It has been a few weeks since my last post and we have a few new things to share. Olivia is now standing by herself! Most of the time she holds on to something but she can get up all by herself without holding onto anything. No steps yet, but I am sure those will come soon enough. We also switched her to a big girl car seat - she loves it! Although, she tends to throw everything now because she can see it fall to the floor in front of her. I can see her much better now in the back too, so I love it just as much. The past few weekends have been pretty low-key around home. I scrapbooked a couple weekends back, we started planting in our garden, Mike has been busy getting the lawn to look nice and we have gone on many walks and watched a few baseball games.

Last weekend was Avery's spring Just for Kix performanace. She did such a great job! She really enjoys dancing and performing so it was fun to watch her. She had lots of people cheering her on too; G'ma Sally, Auntie Debba, Auntie Michelle and her 4 M Daughers (Maria, Morgan, Molly and Maggie) and of course Mom, Dad, Ethan and Olivia. The cousins/aunts/gma spent the evening at our house after the dance and we grilled.

Then Sunday we ended the weekend with the perfect day; church, lunch on the deck, golfing in the backyward, playing catch, going for a walk, watching a baseball game, roasting hot dogs over a bon-fire in the backyard, and then bubble baths and the kids in bed by 8:00 p.m. It was so nice to just let the house go for the day and REALLY enjoy the kids and just play. If you ask anyone in my family they will say that I tend to "wipe up" too much - so they all make fun of me. I tell them "there is nothing wrong with wanting everything to be clean and the counter to be wiped down", but I think I do get a little obsessive sometimes. This is something I know I need to work on as I could be doing it ALL day long when the kids are home with me, so I have to learn to just let it go sometimes.

ONLY 5 days left of work :-)

Here are a few pictures of Avery's performance:
