We no longer have a little baby on our hands. She is turning into a toddler; attitude and all :-) Olivia is now 10 months old. She has 5 teeth and more coming!! She has been crawling for some time now and gets close to pulling herself up but isn't quite there yet. She is pretty much on table food now but still gets her bottle with formula a few times a day, although she loves her sippy cup and sometimes prefers that which should make the transition easy I hope. She is very busy, going from toy to toy and crawling from room to room. As far as taking her places - wow is that a workout. Up, down, no Up, no down, now walk around with her, then sit - ahhh it is exhausting, but that is what they do at this age I guess. It has been a while since we had a child this age so it just takes some getting used to. With another baby coming in July, I will have to get used to everyone being so busy I guess.
Ethan has been having fun the last few weeks in swimming lessons. It is my pleasure to announce that he has passed level one with flying colors!! This is quite a change from last summer. He had lessons last June and barely got in the water the whole 2 weeks. He said the water was too cold and he just wanted to watch and sit on the ladder. So this time we bribed him with the NHL 08 PS2 game he wanted and said that if he goes every time and does everything the teacher says, he can get the game. Well - it worked and now he actually likes the water and isn't timid anymore. So, even though we had to bribe him, we all win in the end!!
Avery started dance again last week. She is in the Just for Kix dance class that is just 6 weeks long. They practice once a week and then have a performance in May. She really enjoys it and they are so cute in their little leotards!! Mom was very happy that they are using the same uniforms as the fall too - saves us $40!!!
Other than the kids keeping us busy, work has been very hectic for me, but I am counting down the weeks to May 16th, so I don't have much time left. Mike is doing well and busy at work. He is looking forward to the nice weather to work on his lawn and garden! It is so nice that he is such a perfectionist when it comes to that stuff!
Last weekend we had a nice time at home hanging out as a family; had a pizza party, watched some of the NCAA games, went to the movie "Horton Hears a Who" and spent some time outside. We also watched our nephew wrestle in the state tournament. He is only 7 years old and he got 2nd! It was really neat to watch, but kind of emotional for me too. I saw some little boys crying, either because they lost or they were in a position they couldn't get out of, and it made me cry - I just blamed it on the hormones!!
This weekend Mike is going to be gone so the kids and I are going to spend some time with Bob and Paige at a waterpark and also go and visit Michelle and Allen and their girls to spend a night with them. Lots of cousin play time!
Hope all is well with you - have a great rest of the week and weekend!
