It's Official

We have decided that I will stay home with the kids starting in May. I let my employer know last week that sometime in May will be my last day. Although I have been at CM for 9 years, it will be a nice change to stay home and spend more time with the kids. I think it really hit me this year with Ethan going to Kindergarten that the kids are only young once and you can never take those years back. I have been working since I have been 14, often having multiple jobs at one time, and I can work again once the kids are a little older. I have a feeling that being a full-time stay at home mom for 4 children will probably be my toughest job yet.

Last weekend I had a shower for a high school friend and then we had our annual GNO (Girl's Night Out) and we all had a great time. This week we had quite a few things going on, so the week just flew by. We had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Mike and I took Ethan and Avery with us on a date to Mexican Village and to the play High School Musical! The kids loved it and Mike and I thought it was pretty neat too. We have seen both movies multiple times and I have to say the play was very good in comparison.

This past weekend we helped my parents paint their upstairs, spend some time playing the Wii with Bob and Paige. Paige and Ethan are getting really good at Guitar Hero - I still get booed off the stage! We also went sledding and snowboading with some of the cousins on saturday. Ethan and Connor really impressed me with going over jumps and keeping their balance on the snowboard.

The kids are all doing well. We have been battling some colds; which I have now :-( but other than that, we are good. Olivia is crawling backwards but hasn't mastered going forward yet. Ethan and Avery are busy with school and learning new things all the time. They had a great time this week with all their valentine's parties at school and daycare.

This weekend we have our annual Valentine's dinner with a group of couples. It will be nice for Mike and I to get away just ourselves for some good food, company and I am sure cards!
