November is here and that means hunting, hunting and more hunting. I know it comes every year but it still seems to get long at times. The kids and I are doing pretty well though. It seems like we are busy almost every night of the week with something or some activity, so it is just the weekends that we have to plan things so we don't miss Daddy too much :-) Last week my Mom had surgery so I have been helping her out when I can. The kids and I went to visit my best friend over the weekend and had a nice playdate and we got to catch up! We are always on the move but that keeps us busy.
Ethan started hockey last week and is really loving it again. It is great to see him so excited to get home and do his homework and then get dressed for hockey right away. He is tired when he gets home but that makes bedtime that much easier on us.
Olivia has been doing a just for kix dance program the last few weeks. She also loves it! The first week she wore her leaotard for 2 days straight and wouldn't let us take it off. It is so cute to see all those little girls line up and do their moves! I can't wait to see her performance in December. Preschool is going well for Olivia. She goes 2 mornings a week and loves to come home and show Izzie and I what she made and learned.
Avery doesn't have any sports going on now but she has been doing a few art classes here and there. She made a halloween pottery item and then a customized notebook cover and pencil holder. That stuff is so fun for her. She always loved any type of "art" activity. We are looking into piano lessons too so those might be starting soon. She is also looking forward to basketball this winter.
And Izzie, well, she is just our Izzie. She keeps us all laughing! Some of her new sayings are "You listen to me", "Don't worry about it" and "Because Mom said". Last night on the way home from a playdate she looked tired in her carseat so I asked her what was wrong and she said "I'm exhausted Mommy". I think she has heard me say that SHE is exhausting a few times :-) We love her so much but she sure is a character. Lately she has been running around the house in her underwear, not wanting to wear pants. She thinks that she can go to the bathroom all by herself without any help too. She is so sweet and funny that it is hard not to just love it all - the good and bad. Maybe it has something to do with her being the baby? I had a conversation with a friend about how I seem to be more lax with her and let her get away with stuff. I am not sure if it is because she is the baby and I don't want her to grow up?? She is VERY different from all the other kids in almost every way, so I think I am just so intrigued by her personality that I want to see what she will do next, say next, etc. I am excited and scared at the same time to see what she will be like as she gets older.
We are all healthy and happy and doing well. We wish Mike luck hunting and hope he gets that "BIG BUCK" he is so patiently waiting for!
