Where to begin?

I really have to get better at posting more often because we have been so busy and there is just so much new to share!

The first weekend in May we had 2 First Communions in the family; my niece and god daughter Maria and another niece Lauren. They were both held in the cities so we had a great weekend away with family.

The second week I went with Ethan's class on a field trip to the Children's museum and I went on a scrapbooking getaway, which was just perfect! A few cocktails, going out to eat without the kids kids, chatting, reading magazines and of course scrapbooking. It was just what I needed! And thanks again to my wonderful husband who had the kids most of the weekend - he is such a champ!! We celebrated Mother's day together as a family and we also visited my mom and Mike's mom.

This past weekend Mike went turkey hunting and he and his brother, Marti, were lucky enough to both get nice turkeys early on saturday morning. We also celebrated Olivia's 2nd birthday on sunday with family, cousins, aunts/uncles and grandparents. The weather was perfect and Olivia had a good time!

The kids are starting to get BUSY BUSY!!! I thought it was busy when Izzie was just born and we had a one year old?!?! Izzie is getting into everything and Olivia is going through some terrible twos - they are pretty interesting most days. I haven't been able to get them to nap much together either so that leaves me NO time to catch up. As frustrating as it can be at times, I have been trying to enjoy it as much as possible because before I know it they will be all grown up. We also had a bout of sickness last week. Olivia was throwing up when I was gone scrapbooking and she didn't really start feeling herself until about wed/thurs of last week and then thurs night and friday morning Izzie starting in on it. Finally on Sunday they were both back to normal, what a difference is makes when they both feel good! Izzie is almost pulling herself up and loves to stand! Olivia is doing very well potty training, she loves counting things, continues to talk so much - I just love their coversations at this age. "Mom - what happened?", "He sad?" "He hurt?" "You kiss it mommy". She is also our outdoor explorer - she would stay out there all day if you let her. And as much as she is a girlie girl - she loves to get dirty and loves tractors!!

Ethan is anxiously awaiting school to be over so he can play more baseball, play with the neighbors and more importantly sleep in and just chill more at home. Avery has a few days left of preschool too. She also started gymnastics last week and loved it. She came running up to me after the first night with this huge smile on her face and said " Mom - I loved it"! It was so cute to see her so excited about it. E and A both have baseball/kickball and swimming lessons also this summer. Even though we will be running around at night, it will be nice for the kids to enjoy some activities.

And last but certainly not least, we have a new niece in the Bueckers family - Macy Marcella Geislinger was born on Monday, May 18th. She was 7 lbs. and 13 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. She is just perfect - with huge dimples already! Deb and Tom are doing great and are already loving being parents!

Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
