Schools On and 15th month check-up

Summer seems to officially be over when school starts, and the weather is here to prove it. I LOVE fall weather though so no complaining here. We had a nice labor day weekend with friends and just hanging out as a family to enjoy which will probably be the last hot, humid days.

Ethan had a great first day of 1st grade. The little bus (the school is pretty small so they have a little bus and not a full sized one) comes right in our cul-da-sac to pick him and up and drop him off, so that has been great for me! I wasn't looking forward to packing everyone up a few times a day to get the kids to and from the bus stop, so I lobbied for them to come right to our door and they agreed. Avery starts preschool next week and she will ride the bus with Ethan a few days a week.

Olivia had her 15 month check-up today and she is growing right on track. She was 21 pounds 12 ounces and 33 inches long. That put her about 35th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height. She also had to get 2 shots but didn't cry at all. She continues to say new words almost every day and signs quite a few words as well. She loves to be outside and just walk/run around. She loves to read books to herself as well as bring them to anyone and sit on their lap as you read them to her and she LOVES her little sister Izabel. She is surprisingly gentle with her, which has been nice.

Congratulations to our close friends Carrie and Brian as they had a new baby daughter, Addison Marie, last week. She had to be in the hospital a little longer but now she is at home with her Mom, Dad and big brother Isaac!
